The Booster Club could not function with the help of our parents. Thank you to all parents (past, present and future) for helping keep our kids rockin'! These parents provide leadership and guidance to the Booster Club and the band students.
This year's officers are:
Bryan Beck, President
Alicia Beasley, Vice President
Mario Jaramillo, Secretary
Brenda Pfeiff, Treasurer
Aimee Gross, Parliamentarian
The Booster Club operates primarily through our standing committees. these Committees are chaired by parents who volunteer their time and effort (along with their committee members) to make sure the kids are dressed, fed, and where they need to be. They also help make sure the concession stands run smoothly and that we have plenty of NHS Band swag to wear. We also have a Scholarship Committee for selecting graduating seniors to receive NHS Band Scholarships.
This years Committee Chairs and Coordinators are:
Conley Woertendyke, Meal Coordinator Chair
The Meal Committee is responsible for making arrangements for feeding the band and guard before each game and at marching competitions. They are also responsible for making sure that any special food needs are met (for example: food allergies or sensitivities; religious requirements). Meal Chair is responsible for purchasing (or making arrangements to purchase) meal related items.
Mario Jaramillo, Fundraising Chair
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating all fundraising activities. Fundraising activities help keep our band fees low and our scholarship dollars high. We are able to offer scholarships for band fees, private lessons, and graduating seniors so that all students have the opportunity to add music to their lives regardless of their household income level.
The Uniform Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the uniforms and costumes that the band and color guard use for marching competitions and football games.
Laura Voutos, Concessions Chair
The Concessions Committee works with NISD and Aramark to ensure that our concession stand service is documented appropriately. He or she also collaborates with the Volunteer Coordinator to make sure that we have enough volunteers to cover all shifts.
Briana Fullenkamp, Scholarship Chair
The Scholarship Committee releases scholarship applications to graduating seniors, collects, review and selects applicants for scholarships for their continuing education beyond NHS.
Aimee Gross, Volunteer Coordinator Chair
The Volunteer Coordinator does just that. He or she enters all volunteer events into charms and communicates with volunteers about their duties before each event.
Amanda Baxley, Spirit Wear Chair
The Spirit Wear Committee selects and/or designs spirit wear to be sold at games, events, and online as a fundraiser. The Spirit Wear Chair is responsible for maintaining the inventory on the online store and reporting all sales income to the treasurer.
Kara Pickney, Guard Chair
The Guard Chair is responsible for serving as a liaison between the booster club and the Color/Winter Guards, coordinating the Winter Guard competition, assisting the Guard Director and Assistant Guard Director as needed. The Guard Chair will be a parent or former parent of a guard student, exception can be made if none is available.
