Call for Nominations:
As we are preparing for the upcoming school year, we would like to invite you to submit nominations for the Executive Board Positions of the Northwest High School Band Boosters. These roles are crucial to the success of our band program, and we rely on dedicated volunteers to help lead our efforts. The positions available for nomination include:
Executive Board Positions:
President: Preside over all club meetings, ensure adherence to Roberts Rules of Order, appoint committees, and supervise club affairs.
Vice-President: Assist the President, assume duties in their absence, and coordinate special events.
Secretary: Act as Recording and Corresponding Secretary, take meeting minutes, and keep records at the band office.
Treasurer: Collect dues, manage funds, maintain the budget, and submit financial reports.
Parliamentarian: Ensure meetings follow organization by-laws and maintain order during meetings.
Committee Chair Positions:
Uniform Chair: Assist the Band Director with uniforms and related maintenance.
Fundraising Chair: Coordinate fundraising events and spirit nights.
Fundraising Co-Chair: Assist in fundraising event promotion and coordination.
Concession Chair: Manage concessions during football season and assist with planning.
Spirit Wear Chair: Order and manage spirit wear, update inventory, and inform the board of sales.
Social Media Chair (Student Led): Update social media on band achievements and events.
Scholarship Chair: Lead the Scholarship Committee and manage scholarship application processes.
Meal Coordinator: Plan meals for events, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
Guard Chair: Liaison between the booster club and Color/Winter Guards, assisting directors as needed.
We encourage you to consider individuals (including yourself) who would be a great fit for these roles. Band Booster Scholarship:
Application submission deadline is now closed. Our scholarship committee will review applications over the next several weeks. Recipients will be honored at the Band Banquet this spring.
